It has been a year since we launched our first service…one long year. I can’t believe just a year ago we were not positive where we were going to meet the next week and now we have a building! I pray that we do not get consumed in the needs of a building and we are consumed with our purpose. What is our purpose? to GO. My prayer is that we make real, true relationships with people in the city of Jonesboro so they can see the true love of God and that our selfish desires disappear. Well they’re probably not going to disappear because we are still flesh, but I pray that we do not acknowledge them.

Ok, maybe it wasn’t the scariest night, but it was pretty close. You have to watch the video to get the details. Let me mind you that the video was made past midnight. Here is a picture of it. You can’t really tell that it is so huge…just trust that it is bigger than my foot.

This year’s Birthday was by far the best. You ask why? I will tell you. I have the best friends a person could ask for. We were cleaning our new building for our church on Saturday, so I walked in ready to get my clean on when I noticed that everyone was dressed as an old person! Happy Birthday!!!! They even brought my old lady outfit so that I could dress up! Well…that wasn’t all. Mollie and Pip prepared a picture scavenger hunt so that we could go into town and make people’s day. By the way, this also wouldn’t have happened if Julie wouldn’t have kept me occupied all day. So thank you Julie for keeping me busy and not letting me figure out the surprise. Thank you guys for spending your afternoon dressing up and going into the public so people could see how cool you were. You guys are the best!
